I hope this message finds you well, and THRIVING! I’m Clarissa, one of your guides for DiCE 2021. I was a DiCE Fellow in 2019, and found my way into the PhD in Higher Education Administration program. I am enjoying my time at Auburn, though it is rigorous and has been challenging with all going on in the world. Not to be a pessimist, but to be real with you!

There is grand opportunity at Auburn for all students, but especially for ambitious, innovative, and driven students.

You’ll also be guided by Dr. Jacoba Durrell during DiCE. She is an Auburn Alumni specializing in Career and Technical Education.  She will aid with writing techniques and best practices that will be a valuable asset as a graduate student.

We are super excited to host you all, and share all about the opportunities for your career at Auburn.

DiCE is a unique program in that it is designed specifically for students from marginalized, underestimated backgrounds at a predominately-white institution.

Because you are at the point of embarking on graduate education (for some a 2nd time), DiCE is intentional in preparing you for your application to, not only Auburn’s programs, but others you’re interested in.

Congratulations on this exciting chapter in your life! Thanks for spending time with us at DiCE!
